CostByCity provides cost of living data and comparisons for informational purposes only. You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You may not:

• Scrape or systematically download data from the Site without written permission
• Use the Site in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site
• Use automated tools to access the Site at a rate that exceeds normal human browsing

Data Accuracy Disclaimer

All data displayed on CostByCity is sourced from publicly available government datasets (US Census Bureau ACS, HUD, BLS). While we strive for accuracy, we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or suitability of the data for any purpose.

Cost of living data should not be used as the sole basis for financial, real estate, or relocation decisions. We strongly recommend consulting licensed financial advisors, real estate agents, and current local market data before making any significant financial decisions.

Some values — including certain bedroom-count rent estimates — may be derived from statistical models rather than direct HUD measurements. These are clearly labeled on the Site where applicable.

Intellectual Property

The design, layout, and original content of CostByCity are owned by CostByCity and protected by copyright. The underlying government data is in the public domain. You may share individual data points with proper attribution but may not reproduce the Site's design or content in bulk.

Third-Party Services

The Site may include third-party advertising and analytics services (including Google AdSense and Google Analytics). These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. CostByCity is not responsible for the content or practices of third-party services.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CostByCity shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its data — including but not limited to financial losses resulting from relocation or real estate decisions made using data from this Site.
